Opportunities required

At MINT we are always looking for a variety of opportunities for our young people – if you feel you can help with any of the following please get in touch:

Paid employment – this is the ultimate goal for our young people and we are keen to find a wide range of entry level roles which they can apply to, for example Retail Assistant, Kitchen Porter, Cleaner, Warehouse Operative and Care Assistant. However we are always happy to consider any roles which can make use of the skills our young people have.

Unpaid work experience placements – these are a vital way for people to add experience to their CV, show what they can do and learn new skills. Employers tell us that work experience is a very important part of what they look for from applicants and we encourage our young people to complete as much work experience in their field of interest as possible. This can be just a one-off day or a regular day per week for a few weeks.

Work tasters – this is a chance for people to find out more about a role and what is involved, in order to see if it is something they would be a good fit for. These are likely to be one-off sessions but any length of time you can accommodate is welcome.

Apprenticeships – these have become increasingly popular recently and have the benefit of allowing people to gain work experience and a qualification whilst getting paid. They are widely advertised by a huge variety of employers and are ideal for many of our young people. If you have an apprenticeship opportunity you are looking to fill we can help you find the right person.
