Keeping in touch...

We love getting feedback from our young people especially when they’ve been in work for a while. This week we had a lovely email from Darrell who started working with MINT back in 2011. He started an apprenticeship at Marel, who provide technology for the food industry, in April 2012 and was offered a job as an Accounts Clerk after successfully completing his apprenticeship. He is still absolutely loving it there.

Darrell says “The people have been so good to me to bring me to where I am today and I am very grateful for it. I have a really supportive Mentor who inspires me day in day out to do better and believe in myself, and I have continued to improve all the time, which is fantastic.”

Darrell intends to start studying towards his AAT qualification in September to build his knowledge and boost his skills. Marel have also added to Darrell’s role with more work on the Sales Ledger and Credit Control side when they need help. He’s very grateful to his Employment Job Coach Mark, saying “Thanks again for your help and support back in 2011 / early 2012, it really was the first step in helping me get to where I am today. I will always hold huge thanks to you guys who helped me get on my way and gave me the opportunity to find Marel and make the progressions and success of it that I have.”

Seeing young people continue developing in their lives after working with us is one of the things that makes our job so worthwhile and hopefully provides a bit of inspiration to those who are just starting their journey with MINT.
