The Managing Director, Colin Wright, spent the first part of the morning with the group explaining how to stay safe in the workplace, the importance of Personal Protective Equipment, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health and awareness of dangerous products in the workplace. In the latter part of the morning the young people had a look in the practical training area which included working from heights, simulated asbestos areas, confined spaces, scaffolding, plant and ground work equipment and Fire Training. We hope that this session has given the young people a good idea of things to consider regarding health and safety in the workplace, which is great experience for them to take into future employment.
