We had some brilliant news this week. Joshua Whitfield, who started working with MINT when we first opened, has been named “Kitchen Porter of the Year”! Joshua has been working towards his Level 2 Food Apprenticeship and was doing so well that the apprenticeship provider nominated him for the Kitchen Porter of the Year Award 2014.
Joshua’s Employment Job Coach at MINT, Shelagh Brown, said “I am very proud of Joshua. He has shown so much determination to be independent and has proven his commitment to employment by achieving this award.”
Joshua got his first job with us just a few months after joining MINT at the Holiday Inn, working in their kitchen. He then moved onto the Best Western Brook Hotel, Norwich, where he has been for 10 months now.
We would like to say a huge congratulations to Joshua and we are all very proud of his hard work and determination to succeed in his chosen career.
