Recently the young people on the Customer Service Project benefitted from support from a local Tesco store in developing their interview skills. The team talked through interview techniques and did mock interviews with Tesco staff, receiving really valuable feedback on how they can improve. They also had a tour around the store, including behind the scenes, which gave them a great idea of what it’s actually like working in a supermarket. One of the young people, Kieran, wrote the below for Tesco:
“Thank you for giving up your time to help us with our interview skills. It was thoroughly interesting and it gave more of an insight of what goes on behind the scenes at Tesco. I was intrigued with how much stock is delivered day by day and the locations it comes from. One of several things I was impressed with is all Tesco packaging is recycled in an environmentally friendly way and food waste is re-used as animal feed.”

Thank you to Tesco for their time.
